Mysuru district records 162 new Covid-19 infections, 3 deaths

Mysuru, July 27:-Mysuru district after reporting less than 100 Covid-19 infections on July 25, on Monday (July 26) registered 162 new cases to take the tally of cumulative caseload to 1,72,279.

As many as 288 more patients recovered from the disease and were discharged from designated hospitals and Covid Care Centres (CCCs). Tally of patients who have recovered reached 1,68,4321 as ofn Monday, according to a bulletin from the Health and Family Welfare Department..

The deaths due to the coronavirus has been on the decline and the district has recorded death in single digit, and the toll has climbed to 2296. Three deaths were recorded on Monday in the district.

Out of the 2296 deaths recorded so far, Mysuru city recorded 1647 deaths followed by Nanjungud – 127, Mysuru taluk – 120, T Narasipura – 104, Hunsur – 90, K R Nagar – 86, H D Kote – 63 and Periyapattana – 59.

Mysuru city reported 74 positive cases on July 26 followed by Periyapattana – 24, Mysuru taluk – 21, Hunsur-20,  K R Nagar 10, Nanjangud – 6, H D Kote – 4 and T Narasipura – 3.

Till July 26, Mysuru city registered 1,06,590 positive cases followed by Mysuru taluk – 13,770, 10,802 in Nanjangud, 10,262 in K R Nagar, 9760 in Hunsur, 8412 in T Narasipura, 7332 in Periyapattana and 5351 in H D Kote.

With 763 active cases in Mysuru city, the tally in the district stands at 1552 and the case count has further come down below 2,000 as of July 26. A total of 1,77,8822 coronavirus samples were tested till July 23, 9786 on Monday alone.

Periyapattana has 336 active cases, Hunsur – 127, Mysuru taluk – 118, K R Nagar – 95, H D Kote – 55, Nanjangud – 49 and T Narasipura – 9.

Till July 26, as many as 18 patients succumbed to mucormycosis (Black fungus) disease; 13 from K R Hospital, 4 from Apollo Hospital and one from Narayana Multispecialty Hospital and the district has 28 active cases; K R Hospital – 14, JSS Hospital – 7, Columbia Asia Hospital Mysuru and Apollo Hospital – 3 cases each and Fort Cauvery Hospital – one case.
