Mysuru, May 20:- Commissioner of Police (CoP) K T Balakrishna has imposed restrictions on vehicular movement on Valmiki Road at Paduvarahalli in the city on May 23 in view of counting of votes for elections held for Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha Constituency on April 18.
The counting of polls will be held on Thursday at Maharani’s College of Commerce and Management for Women on Valmiki Road. As a large number of people and supporters of various political parties are expected to gather near the centre, the vehicular movement has been restricted on the road connecting the Valmiki Road from 6 am to 10 pm on May 23.
Vehicles will not be allowed on Valmiki Road from Hunsur Road junction to Kalidasa Road junction, except media persons, election agents and candidates, officials and staffs. Vehicles are also not allowed on Adipampa Road from Matrumandali Circle to Valmiki Road junction. Vehicles are only allowed on Kalidasa Road from Valmiki Road junction to Matrumandali Circle in one way direction. The vehicles are not allowed on Hunsur Road from Paduvarahalli traffic signal to Kalamandir road junction.
Media persons, candidates and agents, officials and staffs have to reach the counting centre via KRS Road, Adipampa Road, Narayana Swamy block and Paduvarahalli Mahadeshwara Temple ground. (KS, NGB)
