Mysuru logs 35 new Covid-19 cases, 31 recoveries; tally spikes to 53,132

Mysuru, January 22:-Mysuru district on Thursday (January 21) has reported 35 new Covid-19 infections and 31 new discharges taking its tally of cumulative coronavirus caseload to 53,132 and total recoveries to 51,883 respectively.

Out of 53,132 total positive cases, 227 are active across the district and isolated at hospitals and stable, the district for the last fifth consecutive day has not reported any fatality and the total deaths linked to coronavirus stands at 1022 as on January 21.

Bagalkot registered nil cases on Thursday, 17 districts have reported cases in single digit, except Bengaluru Urban, rest of the districts in the state has reported new cases in double-digit.

Except Bengaluru Urban and Dharwada reporting one fatality each on Thursday, no other district in the state registered deaths.

Bengaluru Urban leading the chart in the state in terms of fatality with 4373 followed by Mysuru (1022), Dakshina Kannada (735), Dharwad (611), Ballari (597), Hassan (394), Tumakuru (384) and Shivamogga 349.

A total of 7,69,590 samples have been tested across the district so far, of which 6,681 samples tested on Thursday alone.
