Mysuru, February 9:-Mysuru district on Monday (February 8) reported 48 new Covid-19 infections and 44 recoveries, taking its tally of positive cases to 53,624 and 52,399 discharges so far, according to the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Out of 53,624 total cases, 198 are active and stable across the district. The district on Monday has not reported any fatality and the death toll linked to the coronavirus stands at 1027.
As many as 870 beneficiaries received the Covid-19 vaccine against the intended target of 1571 in 46 sessions in the district achieving 58 percentage cover.
Among the three deaths reported on Monday in the state includes a 61-year-old and 75-year-old man from Bengaluru Urban were attributed to Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI) and Influenza Like Illness (ILI) with the symptoms of breathlessness and cough respectively. The third death was from Bengaluru Rural, a 58-year-old man who succumbed to SARI with breathlessness.
A total of 8,28,579 samples have been tested in the district so far, 2676 have been tested on Monday alone. (NAV)
