Mysuru misses the Guinness record; Ahmedabad makes it to the book

Mysuru, June 23:- The yoga day observed at Ahmedabad in the presence of Yoga guru Ramdev and BJP Supremo Amit Shah at GMDC grounds Ahmedabad made it to the Guinness record. 54,522 members took part in the yoga day. Guinness handed over the record certificate to Baba Ramdev and Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani.

Compared to Mysuru, Ahmedabad had 421 more participants on yoga day. Mysuru lost the Guinness record by a margin of 421.

Speaking to City Today, DC D Randeep said, “If 1,000 more participants had taken part, we would have made the world record. Members of Baba Ramdev yoga centre took part in a huge number in Ahmedabad. We had enough space for yoga participants. We will do better in the coming days with the government funding.”

DC D Randeep had made an honest attempt to get into the Guinness record. It is unfortunate that the city missed the record by a small margin. Still the city has an opportunity to make new record in the coming days. (KS)
