Mysuru, July 7- Mysuru district on Tuesday (July 6) reported 389 coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative caseload to 1,68,546. Eight new Covid fatalities were recorded and the toll has climbed to 2217.
Mysuru city has 1,04,808 positive cases so far followed by Mysuru taluk – 13,491, 10,650 in Nanjangud, 10,025 in K R Nagar, 9418 in Hunsur, 8289 in T Narasipura, 6682 in Periyapattana and 5183 in H D Kote.
Mysuru city reported 194 positive cases on June 6 followed by Periyapattana – 49, Mysuru taluk – 36,
K R Nagar – 27, H D Kote and Hunsur – 25 each, 20 in Nanjangud and 6 in T Narasipura.
Of the 8 deaths which were recorded on Tuesday, 6 were from Mysuru city, Nanjungud and Mysuru taluk – one each.
With 388 patients getting discharged in the district from the hospitals and Covid Care Centres (CCCs), the tally of recoveries has reached 1,62,658, according to a bulletin from the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Of the 1,68, 546 positive cases, the active caseload has further declined to 3671. Many of the patients have been admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICUs), according to data available from the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Mysuru city has 1798 active cases followed by Periyapattana 452, K R Nagar – 371, Hunsur – 303, , Mysuru taluk – 254, Nanjangud – 249, H D Kote – 144 and T Narasipura – 100.
On July 6, 92 new fatalities were recorded in the state. So far, 1,59,7457 coronavirus samples have been tested in the district. The district’s sample testing came down from 10,903 on Monday to 6106 on Tuesday..
Till July 6, a total of 17 patients have succumbed to mucormycosis (Black fungus) disease; 12 from K R Hospital, 4 from Apollo Hospital and one from Narayana Multispeciality Hospital.
