Mysuru reports 546 new Covid-19 infections; 22 deaths

1161 new discharges in Mysuru district

Mysuru, June 22:- Mysuru district on Monday (June 21) reported double the recoveries than new Covid-19 cases as 546 new infections were registered and 1161 patients were discharged to take the cumulative positive cases to 1,62,629 and total recoveries stands at 1,53, 702 respectively.

The district recorded 22 new deaths, taking the death toll to 2035, according to a bulletin from the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Out of 22 deaths recorded in the district on Monday, Mysuru city reported 18 deaths followed by Periyapattana two and H D Kote and T N Pura one each..

Of the 1,62,629 positive cases, the active caseload declined to 6,892 and remained stable in the district. Many of the patients have been admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICUs), according to data available from the Health and Family Welfare Department.

On June 22, 142 new fatalities were recorded in the state. So far, 1,472,478 coronavirus samples have been tested in the district. 5446 on Monday alone.

In view of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the district and to address the grievances of the people with regard to Covid issues, the district administration has established Covid-19 helpline under Mysuru Metropolitan jurisdiction in three zones as follows:
