Mysuru reports another big spike of 776 new Covid-19 cases; tally at 20,604

Mysuru, September 5:- Mysuru on Friday (September 4) reported another big spike of 776 new Covid-19 infections and the tally crossed 20,000.

The district now has 20,604 cumulative cases as on September 4.

317 patients have been cured/discharged/migrated from the Covid Hospitals and Covid Care Centres (CCCs) across the district, thus taking the total number of discharges to 13,646.

Of the total 20,604 cases in the district, 6472 are active. Eleven patients succumbed to the deadly coronavirus in the district, next only to Bengaluru Urban where 25 deaths were reported on September 4, taking the tally of mortalities to 486.

Bengaluru continues to be the epicentre of the pandemic in the state, registering 2,963 more infections, increasing its tally to 1.41 lakh, of which 41,646 are active.

More Covid cases were reported from Ballari (447), Dakshina Kannada (428), Tumakuru (424), Shivamogga (350), Hassan (340) and Dharwad (297). (NAV)
