Mysuru reports below 500 Covid-19 cases in over 100 days

11 Covid-19 deaths recorded in Mysuru district on Tuesday and 1,245 patients discharged

Mysuru, June 23:- In a relief to the district administration and health officials, Mysuru district on Tuesday (June 22) reported less than 500 new Covid-19 cases and recorded less number of deaths.

The district on Tuesday recorded 486 new infections and double the discharges (1245), taking the tally of cumulative caseload to 1,63,115 and total recoveries to 1,54,947 respectively.

The district recorded 11 new deaths and the death toll has risen to 2046, according to a bulletin from the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Of the 1,63,115 positive cases, the active caseload also declined considerably. Many of the patients have been admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICUs), according to data available from the Health and Family Welfare Department.

On June 22, 139 new fatalities were recorded in the state. So far, 1,478,429 coronavirus samples have been tested in the district. 5951 on Tuesday alone.

In view of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the district and to address the grievances of the people with regard to Covid issues, the district administration has established Covid-19 helpline under Mysuru Metropolitan jurisdiction in three zones as follows:
