Mysuru Warriors announce Cause Partners for KPL 2019

Mysuru, August 13:- Mysuru Warriors, a Karnataka Premier League franchise, owned by NR Group, is proud to announce Reforest India, Kalisu Foundation, Usha Kiran Eye Hospital and Deutsche Cleft Kinderhlife as their Cause Partners for the upcoming KPL 2019. Mysuru Warriors hopes to inspire change in the respective sectors through these organisations.

Mysuru Warriors will contribute Rs 1,000 for every 4s and 6s the team scores and every wicket taken by the team. The money received through this initiative will be doubled by Cycle Pure Agarbathies, as powered by sponsors for Mysuru Warriors and further will be divided equally among all the cause partners, to put in use for a social cause.

This is the second time Mysuru Warriors is associating with Reforest India, who will be using the amount in the plantation of trees in various regions. All the other 3 cause partners are associated with Mysuru Warriors from past 4 years. Every year, Mysuru Warriors contribute Rs 1 lakh each to all the 4 cause partners.

Mysuru Warriors have planted around 1,000 trees in association with Reforest India at Sainik School, in Madikeri to begin reforesting in the Cauvery watershed. It has built six Jnanalaya’s in association with Kalisu Foundation in these 4 years, amongst which one is a Mysuru’s first comprehensive science lab “Vesto Pro Science Lab” at the Kuvempunagar Government School.

With this initiative, nearly 2050 students have easy access to a huge quantum of knowledge which will allow them to use this knowledge to complement their school syllabus, homework, project work and extra-curricular activities. Usha Kiran Eye Hospital has treated 40 girl children with birth disabilities like squint eyes and Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe has treated nearly 40 children with cleft lip using the support extended by Mysuru Warriors.

“Reforest India, Kalisu Foundation, Usha Kiran Eye Hospital and Deutsche Cleft Kinderhlife have already been recognised for some of the spectacular work they have been doing in their respective fields. We are delighted to have them on board as our cause partners, they bring a whole different persona to the team,” said Kiran Ranga, owner, Mysuru Warriors.

Modelled on the lines of IPL, the 20-20 tournament is organised by the KSCA and will witness the competition between eight teams. Started in 2009, the Karnataka Premier League is now in its eighth season which will commence from August 16.

About cause partners

Reforest India combats the alarming levels of carbon dioxide by planting trees, in both urban and rural areas. Apart from global cooling, Reforest India’s initiatives bring about increased biodiversity, rainfall, groundwater levels, and stabilisation of the local climate.

Kalisu Foundation has taken up the war against the lack of education by introducing features in schools like libraries and other facilities in order to make schooling more fun for children. The youth at Kalisu Foundation strives to provide high-quality education to children studying in Government Schools, thus enabling them to maximise their potential.

Usha Kiran Eye Hospital is one of the veteran leaders in the ophthalmology sphere. Their hospitals comprise a talented team of sub-specialists driven towards giving their patients a new lease of life through their wide range of eye-care treatments.

Deutsche Cleft Kinderhlife is driven to helping children combat cleft lip and palate from all over the world to receive comprehensive treatment. Children with a cleft lip are normally at the receiving end of ridicule and peer pressure, because of local superstitions and social reasons. (MR)
