Mysuru Warriors names Karun Nair as the captain for KPL-2017

Mysuru, August 10: Mysuru Warriors, a cricket franchise from agarbathi to aerospace conglomerate, NR Group appointed Karun Nair as the captain of the team for upcoming edition Karnataka Premier League.

The 25-year-old prolific batsman will be leadingthe tournament, scheduled to start from September 1, 2017.

Karun is an Indian international cricketer, who has led Delhi Daredevils in the second leg of IPL this year. The talented cricketer will also beheading India ‘A’ team in the forthcoming test seriesagainst South Africa’s ‘A’ team. Karun will be joining the Mysuru Warriors by the end of this month, post his South Africa series.

Speaking about this latest appointment, Arjun Ranga, Owner, Mysuru Warrior says, “We are very confident about Karun Nair’s leadership skills. He along with our coaches has ability to guide the team to excellence. Our good wishes are with the team.”

The team will soon commence their practice session at the SJCE Grounds from August 14. The two top players of the team-Suchith J and ShreyasGopal will be joining the preparatory sessions after the currentDr.K. Thimmappaiah Tournament organized by KSCA. Along with the selected team members, the 12 shortlisted players from the talent hunt will also be going through a regress practice session, after which 2 players will be chosen to officially represent Mysuru Warriors, in this year’s KLP tournament.
