NR Group, the owner of Mysuru Warriors and the makers of Cycle Pure Agarbathies, on Wednesday presented the team for the upcoming Karnataka Premiere league KPL-2016 tournament.
In a press conference held at a private hotel in the city, the new team having 20 players, out of which 18, who have represented the State at various levels and two selected from extensive talent hunt conducted by Mysuru warriors, were introduced. The team comprises Manish Pandey, Suchith J, Aditya B Sagar, Rajoo Bhatkal, Arjun Hoysala, K Gowtham, Jonathan R, Annirudh Joshi, Vyshak Vijay Kumar, Liyan Khan, Nihal Ullal, Abhishek Bhat, Akshay Khodath, Anand Doddamani, Kushal Wadhwani, Prateeksh R, V Koushik, Nikith S Sanganakal, Nanda Kishore and Shreyas.
Presenting the team on the occasion, Arjun Ranga said, “I am extremely satisfied with the new team, it’s a good mix of talent and experience. In this season we are confident that we will witness good cricket. Our team was instituted to encourage cricket talent from the region and today the team has emerged as a hub of extraordinary talent. We are looking forward to have a successful innings with them. Adding to it we have former Australian cricketer Bradley James Hadddin as mentor of our team.”
Head Coach of the Mysuru Warriors team, RX Murali said, “With good depth in bowling, batting and fielding we have a strong side and a whole new team, we are fortunate to have a strong support staff consisting Vijay Madhyalkar, Shyam Rao who is the fitness trainer and Shravan, physiotherapist of the team. We have Haddin as our mentor and are confident that the team will exhibit an exciting game of cricket and keep the crowds entertained.”
Kushal Wadhwani, who is the highest wicket taker in the KSCA league, Prateeksh, a left hand batsman, who has scored over 500 runs in first division cricket, Shreyas and Nanda Kishore selected in the talent hunt are making their debut through Mysuru warrior’s team in this season.
