Mysuru: “Educational institutions should run for society not for profits,” said by Prof.K R Venugopal VC, BUB. He was addressing the audience after inaugurating one-day NAC awareness program for college principals organised by UGC-HRDC Unit Bangalore University at Jnana Bharathi, Bangalore University.
He said, “Nowadays, truth and honesty are taking a back seat in the field of education. “Most of the colleges are not utilising the UGC fund for college development activities. Colleges to focus on infrastructure, faculty and research developments before going for NAC aggregation.”
Prof. B.K.Ravi, Registrar, BUB, said, “To get RUSA or any other government funds, it’s very important for every college to go for NAC aggregation.”
