We may succeed in combating Covid-19 if we follow guidelines of such pandemics, says YKC Wadiyar

Mysuru, June 4:- Titular king of Mysuru, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar paid floral tributes to the image of Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar at Mysuru Palace to mark the birth anniversary of the king on Thursday (May 4).

“We are organising a small event at the Mysuru Palace to mark the birth anniversary of Nalvadi. His governance is known as the ‘golden era of Mysuru.’ My wish is to see that golden era of prosperity again,” said Yaduveer Wadiyar while speaking to media persons.

Responding the demand to name Mandakalli Airport after Nalvadi, Yaduveer said that people may forget the name of the airport in some time. He said that the right way to remember the contributions of Nalvadi would be by following the path he tread.

Responding to demands of construction of Nalvadi’s statue at KRS Reservoir, Yaduveer said that his opinion would be the same as that of Pramoda Devi Wadiyar.

“Coronavirus pandemic has affected the entire world. Such a phenomenon happens once in a century. We have tried to overcome coronavirus pandemic by implementing lockdown. We may succeed in our fight against coronavirus if we follow what we have been following against such pandemics,” he added. (MR/KS)
