Nanjangud: 6 houses submerge in water

Mysuru, August 13:- Incessant rains in Wayanad district of Kerala have created a flood-like situation in Nanjanagudu. Increase in Kapila river water has submerged 6 houses in front of Nanjanagudu temple. Residents are sad that they were forced to sleep outside their residence due to heavy water-logging. They complained that no official has bothered to visit the spot. Taluk panchayat member Mugashetty visited the spot late at night and provided food and shelter to them at Uppara Chatra outside the temple. He requested the officials to help the residents. (MR/KS).
