Nanjangud’s Hadinaru Kere to be cleaned up

Nanjangud, March 24:- The famous Hadinaru Kere in Nanjangud, which attracts different types of birds every summer, will be cleaned by the Rotary Club and Inner-Wheel Club on Thursday (March 25).

Rotary Mysuru South-East, Inner-Wheel Club, Rotaract Club, Interact Club, Government High School (Hadinaru), Primary Health Centre and Gram Panchayat will be taking up the cleaning work, said Rotary member Shubha Muralidhar. The new members of Hadinaru Rotary Community Centre (RCC) will also be part of the cleaning drive.

Ornithologist Dr Abhijit APC will give details of the birds that come to Hadinaru Kere every year.

The steps are also on to convert the Hadinaru Kere into a tourist spot and the Nature Club Hadinaru is taking all the steps, said Dr Ravindra who had met Tahsildar Mohana Kumari in connection with the proposal.

RCC coordinator Muralidhar Y V and Shubha Muralidhar gave details of the programmes that have been planned for Thursday. (MR/KS)
