National conference on ‘Issues and challenges of teachers working in rural areas’ begins in Mysuru

Mysuru, July 2:- A national conference on ‘Issues and challenges of teachers and teacher educators working in rural, remote and tribal areas’ was inaugurated in the city on Monday.

The conference is being held at AV Hall, Regional Institute of Education (RIE), NCERT, under the auspices of Inter-University Centre for Teacher Education, Mysuru.

Former secretary of the Social Welfare Department, Government of India P S Krishnan inaugurated the programme.

More than 100 teachers are participating in the three-day workshop.

Founder of Swamy Vivekananda Youth Movement Dr M A Balasubramanya, RIE principal Prof Y Srikanth, Prof Malli Gandhi and Prof G V Gopal were present. (KS, NGB)
