JSS Centre for Management Studies (JSS CMS), Department of Management Studies, Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru, organized a Management Competition “Management Innovation for Excellence, MANNOVEX -17” at JSS Centre for Management Studies on Friday.
The MANNOVEX-17 was inaugurated by Dr N Muthu Kumar, President and Whole Time Director, Automotive Axles Limited, Mysuru and Dr B G Sangameshwara, Vice Chancellor, JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru, presided over the function.
The student teams from various management colleges and universities are participated in the management event.
During the inaugural talk, Muthu Kumar said that students must have innovation in their thinking process and management students must understand the needs of the country and develop the skills to meet them.
He added that students must take the initiatives like Make in India, Skill India, and Digital India to make leverage for progress of themselves and country.
He added that students must upgrade their learning, build their attitudes and commitment to the set goals for the successful accomplishment of the employable skills.
Dr B G Sangameshwara spoke during his presidential address and emphasised that students are required to understand the contemporary practices and learning should take care of updates happening inthe corporates. He added that this kind of competitions help the students to get new ideas to think and initiate new business plan and start-ups.
He also addressed the need of innovations in management science. Further, he emphasised the need and upgrade of the managerial and analytical skills through the regular interactions with practitioners.
Dr P Nagesh, Head of the Department, Yuvarajanat, Sharath, faculty coordinators, Niranth and Vinay student coordinators were present.
The event is conceptualised by the students of JSS CMS and provides a platform for students to showcase their managerial skills.
