National-level project exhibition held in Mysuru by GSSSIETW

Prime News, National, Karnataka, Education, Engineering and Technology, Mysuru, May 26:- The Department of Information Science and Engineering of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, KRS Road, Mysuru, organised  “TECH X – 2K22,” a national-level project exhibition in association with IEEE Computer Society, Bengaluru Chapter on Tuesday (May 24).

TECH X 2K22 was inaugurated by chief guest Dr Chethan Kumar B, Lead Engineer, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Bengaluru.

The inaugural function was presided by Dr Shivakumar M, Principal, GSSSIETW, Mysuru and Dr Reshma Banu, convener of TECH X-2022, Professor and Head, Department of ISE.

Addressing the participants, Dr Chethan Kumar said that the project exhibition is a great opportunity for students to showcase and present their ideas and take healthy feedback from eminent personalities and have an interaction with counterparts from various parts of the country.

He emphasised the importance of problem-solving along with design and development. He insisted that students should have unique ideas and develop skills to implement those ideas in the fields like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Dr Shivakumar said that it is important for the students to participate in such events to gain experience which helps them to adapt to the IT industry. He said that these kinds of competitions motivate the students to face challenges by utilising the communication and technical skills.

The exhibition was held to aptly highlight various opportunities and challenges in engineering thrust areas namely Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, IoT, Robotics, Blockchain, Cyber Security, Embedded Systems, Big Data and many more which give insights into the future procurement plans and provide the platform to unleash the potential of the students from various institutions by showcasing their ideas as innovative projects and examine the technology options and strategies.

TECH X -2022 has received more than 200 projects from all over India. The projects were categorised into five sessions based on domains. Three best projects were duly rewarded with cash prizes and certificates.
