Nayaka community demands prominence in Assembly polls

Mysuru, March 28:- “Though the population of Nayaka community is between 25,000 and 40,000 in Hunsur, Chamundeshwari, Varuna, Narasimharaja, Nanjanagud and T Narasipur Constituencies, the community is given ticket only in H D Kote reserved constituency. We condemn such negligence towards the community,” said Karnataka Rajya Nayakara Hitharakshana Vedike at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club here on Wednesday.

“The parties know that the votes of the community are important for the victory in all the constituencies, none of the parties has given tickets to the community members. If the trend continues, we will vote against such parties. The organisation doesn’t ask the public to vote any particular party and it is up to the people to think and vote,” said Dyavappa Nayaka of the organisation.

Raju Market and others were present. (MR/KMR).
