NCC Directorates get a taste of Mysuru

National Integration Camp – I, Mysuru was conducted at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), here from April 20 to May 1. The aim of the camp was to ensure that cadets from different parts of the country interacted.

As part of the camp around 600 NCC cadets from all the parts of the country, were taken on an educational tour and to various places of interest like Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hill, Mysore Palace, Jaganmohan Palace, Jayachamarajendra Zoological Garden, KRS Dam and Infosys.

The cadets were also attended lectures and demonstrations on health and hygiene by doctors of K R Hospital, traffic awareness by Mysuru Traffic Police, fire fighting by Karnataka Fire Force and snake demonstration by Snake Shyam. Col Rakesh Nair, Group Com-mander NCC, Mysuru, visited the camp and witnessed a cultural programme by the cadets from NCC Directorates from all over India. He distributed prizes to the winners in various events. Rajasthan Directorate won the overall competition for the best NCC Directorate.
