New initiative by Mysuru Traffic Police on violations

Mysuru, February 1:- Wearing helmets with ISI mark has been made mandatory in the city from today. Or else, riders will have to pay fine. To create awareness among the public, the police are not collecting fine, instead, they are giving an awareness letter to the violators.

In the letter, traffic rule violators will have to fill in their name, the rule they violated, which includes riding without a helmet, triple ride, using a cellphone while riding/driving, vehicles without number plates, signal jump and other violations. People will be left with a warning and they will be fined if they violate rules again, say the police. (MR/KS).
