Mysuru, April 2:- The response to revised traffic guidelines seems to be good. The new set of guidelines, which came into force on Thursday (April 1), is seeing a good number of people going to their respective centres to pay up the fine.
According to Mysuru traffic police sources, the ‘Janasnehi’ initiative of the police department is working to good effect. The centres, which are open from morning 10 am till 7 pm in the evening, offer assistance to the public who come to them for any clarification. The Traffic Police want to see a drastic reduction in traffic violations.
Of the 78 cases from 10 different centres, Rs 59,700 was collected from violators. Many have come forward to clear the penalty after getting all the details. (MR/KS)
