- City all set to welcome Gowri- Ganesha festival.
On Saturday morning, people thronged the markets to buy various items for the festivals. Business establishments and small shops have been doing a roaring business ahead of the Ganesha festival with a large number of people thronging the market places every day.
- Property-return parade held
Mysuru City police have recovered stolen gold, silver, vehicles and other valuables worth Rs 2,49,58,617 so far till August end. As many as 207 cases which were registered in the limits during the trimester period of January and August were solved by arresting 157 accused involved in the crime.

Two days after the royal family claimed the possession of property near Doddakere maidan, Revenue officials on Saturday stopped the levelling work and seized the earth moving vehicle (JCB), leading to embarrassment to the royal family.
