- Cauvery row: Protests continue unabated
The Supreme Court verdict on Cauvery row has led to series of protests in the state. Cauvery Kriya Samithi, activists led by Pa Mallesh, protested in front of the residences of Members of Parliament from Mysuru-Kodagu, Pratap Simha and Chamarajanagar Dhruva Narayan.
- Dasara 2016: Yoga Prabhodha inaugurated in city
As part of series of programmes organised by the Yoga Dasara sub-committee to promote Yoga among public, Yoga Prabhodha was formally inaugurated by Mayor B L Bhyrappa at the Maharaja’s centenary hall on Wednesday.

- Court rejects advance bail plea of Krishnan
The advance bail plea of former vice-chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Prof M G Krishnan and six others who are accused of the irregularities in the KSOU was rejected by the court. The third Additional District and Sessions Court rejected the advance bail plea, on Tuesday.
- Light rainfall expected for next three days
The city might experience light rainfall for the next three days. According to the research centre at the Organic Farming Research Station, Naganahalli, Mysuru might get one mm light rainfall.
- Na Rathna elated with B V Karanth Award
“I have acted in two movies directed by B V Karantha. I have also enacted in three plays directed by him. After he came to Mysuru, we became more close to each other. He has done great work through Rangayana. I am honoured to receive B V Karantha Award,” said renowned playwright Na Rathna.
