Tata Crucible Campus Quiz is one of the most awaited events in the national campus circuit with its intelligent format and stimulating questions to challenge college students.
Bhargav Ayyangar and Rashmi Ravi from The National Institute of Engineering (NIE Mysore) won the Mysore regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2016 held at Mysore Medical College. Srikar Raghavan and K Shreyas from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) were declared the runners-up of the quiz.
The 12th edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz is a unique 20-20 game played on the basis of a 20 question Prelim followed by a T20 format final.The quiz that has now expanded to 36 cities has numerous exciting rounds in the T20 format. These rounds are designed to test the contestants’ speed of thought and endurance for them to battle out their way to the top of the leader board.
Dr N R Parasuraman, Director, SDM Institute for Management Development awarded the winners a prize money of Rs 75,000 followed by Rs 35,000 for the runners-up respectively. The quiz was hosted by ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam, better known as ‘Pickbrain’ who through his questions kept the contestants and the audience constantly engaged.
The top six teams were selected after a preliminary written and a subsequent wild card round (only from the cities where it was held). Besides the winners and the runners-up, the four stage finalist teams included Shreyas R and Siddhant Ahuja from Siddaganga Institute of Technology; Samarth. M and Shrinidhi Kulkarni from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE);
M Chirag Kashyap & Bharath S from Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara University(JSS); Achal S & Srihari K from Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering.
The winners of the national finals will receive a grand prize of Rs. 5,00,000 /- along with the coveted Tata Crucible Trophy.
