NIE’s state-of-art School of Electrical Sciences to be inaugurated on March 13


The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, has constructed state-of-the-art ‘School of Electrical Sciences’ at its premises and is named after
N R Narayana Murthy,  distinguished NIE alumnus, Director, NIE Board of Management and Founder of Infosys Technologies Ltd.

Jagadguru Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamji of Sutturu Mutt will inaugurate the same on March 13, 2016 at Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex at 3 pm.
N R Narayana Murthy will be the chief guest and Srinath Batni, President, NIE Group of Institutions, will preside over the function.

‘School of Electrical Sciences’, built at a cost of Rs 12 crore in Administrative Block has a total area of about 59,000 sqft. It contains 10 modern classrooms, 19 laboratories,
one seminar hall and three tutorial rooms.  

The National Institute of Engineering seventy years ago embarked on a journey to educate and nurture the finest engineers. Students passing out of the college every year have distinguished themselves as industrialists, entrepreneurs, innovators, educationists, eminent engineers etc.
