Mysuru, March 5:- The seat distribution between Congress and JD(S) for the Lok Sabha elections is going through a lot of discussions. Both sides want to go one up on the other. After much deliberations, Congress has relented to JD (S) request to allow chief minister H D Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Gowda to contest from Mandya. Speaking to reporters on Monday, tourism minister Sa Ra Mahesh said Nikhil’s name has been cleared and he will contest from Mandya.
“We have requested our party high command H D Deve Gowda to field a candidate from the party for Mysuru – Kodagu constituency as well. We are asking him to contest from Mysuru-Kodagu, Tumkur and Bengaluru Rural,” he added. (MR/KS).
