Nikhil Kumaraswamy says GD Harish Gowda is like his brother

Nikhil Kumaraswamy and Harish Gowda visit Chamundi Hill, seek blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari

Mysuru, October 22:- Actor-turned-politician Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, visited Chamundi Hills and took the darshan of Goddess Chamundeshwari here on Friday (October 22). Janata Dal (Secular) MLA G T Devegowda’s son G D Harish Gowda also accompanied him.

GT Devegowda has already said he may join Congress in the days to come. In this background, his son accompanying Nikhil to Chamundi Hills has raised many eyebrows.

Though Devegowda has already made his intentions clear, Nikhil, it seems, is in constant touch with Harish.

Talking on the occasion, Nikhil said, “My movie ‘Rider’ is going to release shortly. I came to take blessings of the Goddess.”

He said, “I don’t want to talk about politics here. Harish and I are good friends and we value our relationship.”

To another question, he said, “I have not come here with any political intentions and I don’t think it is the right time to discuss politics. Maybe, when the time arises, I will talk.”

On Harish, Nikhil said, “He is a powerful and popular leader among youths. He is like my brother and friend.”

Harish said, “There is no politics in my meeting Nikhil. We are good friends and he meets me whenever he comes to Mysuru.” (MR/SH)
