Mysuru, May 23:- After 10 deaths were reported from Kerala due to Nipah virus, K R Hospital in the city is taking necessary actions to avoid the possibility of Nipah attack in Mysuru.
“There has been no incident of the virus in the city so far. As a precautionary measure, ten beds have been reserved in the hospital,” said the Dean of the hospital, Dr Chandrashekhar.
“As this virus spreads through pigs and bats, those who consume pork should be careful. People should not eat fruits bitten by bats,” the doctor suggested. (MR/KS).
