Mysuru, June 18:- Parivarthanam Trust organised an event to distribute school bags to the students of Akkana Balaga School at Agrahara here on Monday. District Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Dr YD Rajanna inaugurated the programme.
“Educating children is essential for the better future of India. No child should be deprived of education. Children these days lack nutrition due to the consumption of junk food and modern lifestyle. Having good food and a good lifestyle can avoid many health hazards,” he said.
“We have to take a pledge to protect Government Schools which are on the verge of closure. Government Schools have skilled teachers. Children from poor economic background should be given quality education. Government is giving licences to private schools easily which is why they are growing in numbers,” said social worker Raghuram Vajapayee.
“Orphan children in the society too deserve a better future. Couple without children can adopt these children and give them a better future,” said industrialist Umesh Sharma.
