No drinking water scarcity in city: Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath

Mysuru, April 27:- “There is no drinking water scarcity in Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) limits. If there is any such problem, we are ready to supply water through tankers,” said Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath.

She was speaking to media persons in the city on Saturday.

“Five additional tankers have been introduced for the water supply. 25 tankers are employed to provide water for the city. All the bore wells are in good condition. We will supply drinking water to the required localities. There is water problem in Hinkal and Chamundi Hill areas as MCC is supplying water there,” she added.

“MCC is ready to remove the dead trees but environmentalists oppose us if we try to cut the trees. We will discuss with them and come to a conclusion. We will appoint a driver for ‘Shaktiman’ machine after the election code of conduct ends,” she added. (MR/KS)
