Recently, a man, who was hit by a tempo, was left bleeding on a Delhi road for 90 minutes. Hundreds of people drove past the dying man, but no one came forward to help him. One person walked up to the injured man and walked away with the dying man’s mobile phone. Entire footage was captured in CCTV camera. The Supreme Court has approved the guidelines issued by the Centre for the protection of good samaritans at the hands of the police or any other authority. The public is still not aware of this law and very few people come forward to help the people in need during accidents. The government should encourage the public to help the injured people by clearly assuring them that they will not be put to any hassles.
