Mysuru, November 4:- Silver jubilee programme of Vasavi Vanita Sampada of Kuvempunagar was held at Ganabharathi auditorium of Kuvempunagar here on Sunday. Former MP Tejaswini Gowda inaugurated the event.
“No person can single-handedly build a nation and society. Organisations like this are essential for society. Though the heart is small, it keeps life alive. We can survive only if we work hard. Your children might be good, but it is important that you live independently without being a burden to anyone. If you keep your health fine and do proper financial planning, you won’t have to go to old-age homes,” she said.
“The hand that rocks the cradle will rule the country. It is easy to start an organisation, but not easy to run it for a long time. Women can build strong nation, but they have to be given opportunities. Women remain patient and look after their family. The society is full of competition. We have to adapt the skills to live accordingly,” said former MLA MK Somashekar.
Corporator MC Ramesh, senior engineer Suresh Babu and others were present. (MR/KS)
