Mysuru, May 28:- “We have not received any order from the state government regarding the opening of temples from June 1,” said Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar.

He was speaking to media persons in the city on Wednesday.

“We have not received any information from either state or central government. We have read such news only in the media. We don’t know the government guidelines regarding lockdown after May 31. The decision will be taken based on the government guidelines,” he said.

Responding to a question on Mysuru becoming ‘green zone,’ the DC said that there is no more zoning as green, orange or red. He said that the government has now instructed to maintain ‘containment zones.’ He said that some reliefs are provided at containment zones as well. He said that instead of entire village, only the house and street will be sealed down hereafter.

“Stranded labourers have been sent to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand in 4 trains. Government has looked after the expenses of the last two trains. Labourers from Nagaland, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh and other states are sent to Bengaluru by KSRTC bus. They will be going to their native places from Bengaluru by train,” he said. (MR/KS)
