Mysuru, August 29:- “I have already submitted my resignation to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and there is no question of suspending me from the party,” said former corporator and BJP rebel candidate M V Ramaprasad at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Wednesday.
“I have sent my resignation letter to the BJP district president on August 23. Strangely, rumours that I have been suspended from the party are floating. It is an attempt to tarnish my reputation. I am upset that the party denied me a ticket. People and party members have not rejected me. I don’t know what is the reason for not giving me a ticket. This will adversely affect the party and the party high command has to look into it. I have been an active member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for 37 years. I have filed my nomination as an independent candidate from Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Ward Number 55 as the people asked me to do so,” he added.
