No rift in coalition partners; GTD to campaign for Vijayashankar: Cong leader R Murthy

Mysuru, March 28:- “District In-charge Minister G T Devegowda will attend the party workers’ meeting of coalition partners Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) tomorrow. He will end all the speculations prevailing over campaigning for coalition candidate CH Vijayashankar from Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha Constituency,” said Congress city president R Murthy.

He was speaking to media in the city on Thursday.

“The district in-charge minister was not able to attend the poll campaign due to prior fixed programmes. There is no difference among the coalition partners in the state and we will face the Lok Sabha elections together,” he said.

“A meeting of party workers of JD(S) and Congress will be held at Hotel Rio Meridian on Bamboo Bazaar Road here on Friday (March 29) at 11 am. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah will preside over the meeting. Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh, former minister Dr H C Mahadevappa, Narasimha Raja Constituency MLA Tanveer Sait, former MLAs Vasu, Somashekar, JD(S) leader Prof KS Rangappa, KV Mallesh and others will attend the meeting,” he informed.

MLC Raghu Achar, Congress spokesperson H A Venkatesh, secretary Shivanna, Venkata Subbaiah, Nagabhushan Tiwary and Dairy Venkatesh were present. (KMR, NGB)
