Mysuru, November 29:- There are allegations that many notable personalities didn’t attend the three-day Kannada Sahitya Sammelana. While many complain that the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat did not send invites, KaSaPa president Dr Y D Rajanna on Tuesday it is far from truth.
“Alleging that we haven’t invited notable persons for the convention is far from truth. We wanted to organise the event with everyone’s participation. When we have invited Rajamatha Pramodha Devi Wadiyar, she said she wouldn’t be here in the city during sammelana,” he said.
“We also invited Suttur seer for the event. Senior writer Devanuru Mahadeva was also invited, but he said he won’t take part until and unless KaSaPa actively fights for the implementation of equal education and universal education in Kannada. Saraswati Samman awardee S L Bhyrappa had also told he won’t be available,” Rajanna said. (MR/KMR).
