Noted Litterateur Chaduranga played a pivotal role in renaming Mysore state as Karnataka, said former MP A H Vishwanath.
He was speaking at the 102nd Birth anniversary of Chaduragana organised by Arasu Chinthakara Chavadi in the city on Sunday. He said, “Chaduranga was an eminent writer and a great litterateur in Kannada. Being multi-facetted, he explored and focused on various issues and stood as one of the prominent litterateurs of his time. His writings made positive impact on the society.”
On the occasion, achievers of various fields including IPS officer Jayaram Raje Urs, writer Lakshmikanth Raje Urs, University of Mysore gold medallist, Shivendra G Urs and others were felicitated.
Vishwadhiraja Swamy of Udupi Krishna Mutt, MYLAC chairman H V Venaktesh, Litterateur Prof K Bhairavamurthy and others were present.
