Noted writer MN Vyasa Rao no more

Bengaluru, July 16:- Noted Kannada writer and lyricist M N Vyasa Rao passed away due to cardiac arrest at his residence in Bengaluru on Sunday. He was 73.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Higher Education Minister G T Devegowda, Kannada and Culture Minister Jayamala have condoled the sudden demise of the writer.

Rao, a noted writer had penned popular songs and entered the Sandalwood film industry in 1975 making debut in Puttana Kanagal’s film ‘Subhamangala.’

His popular songs include ‘Suryangu Chandrangu Bandaare Munisu,’ ‘Naakondla Naadku,’ and ‘Neenillade’ which have remained classics even today. -KK
