Mysuru, January 12:- The National Service Scheme (NSS) and Red Cross Youth Wing of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Gokulam 3rd Stage, Mysuru, observed NSS Day and the Constitution Day on Saturday (January 9).
Dr Sadananda B S, Medical Superintendent and professor of Cardiology, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular and Research, Mysuru, who was the chief guest, stressed on the importance of health and well-being, and also how one should take care of his health amid a pandemic.
Prof Siddegowda H spoke about the importance of the Constitution Day.
Dr K Gopala Reddy, coordinator of NSS and Red Cross Youth Wing, read a report explaining about the NSS Camp and adoption of villages, cleanliness awareness, distribution of food kits amid Covid-19 pandemic, etc.
Gundappa Gowda, president of Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Mysuru; secretary P Vishwanath, treasurer Shrishaila Ramannavar, Red Cross Society chairman Dr Gurumurthy and principal B Sadashive Gowda were present.
Prof Megha V of Information Science and Engineering was the master of ceremony. Prof Shashank N of Computer Science and Engineering Department, welcomed the gathering. All faculty members and student coordinators of NSS and RCYW were present. (NGB)
