‘Nudinamana,’ a tribute to SPB: Minister ST Somashekar

Mysuru, October 22:- District in-charge Minister S T Somashekar, who was present at ‘Nudinamana’ programme organised in memory of late Dr S P Balasubrahmanyam on Wednesday (October 22), was all praise for playback singer Rajesh Krishnan, who is better known as junior SPB.

The minister said, “We could not have asked for anything better. Rajesh Krishnan singing SPB’s songs on the occasion is a tribute to the legendary singer who passed away last month.”

Somashekar said, “We wanted a programme to be organised in honour of SPB and I wanted Rajesh Krishnan to sing his songs. I am happy it came through. SPB has sung more than 40,000 songs and had a huge fan base over the last 50 years. Even though he is not with us anymore, his memories will stay with us forever.”

Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar, MLA L Nagendra, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) chairman H V Rajeev, Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, ADC B S Manjunathaswamy, Commissioner of Police Dr Chandragupta, SP C B Ryshyanth, DCP Geetha Prasanna and others were present. (MR/GK)
