Nutrition week celebrated

Indian Dietetic Association (IDA), Mysuru chapter, in association with the Department of Water and Health, JSS University, recently conducted inter-college competition for UG and PG students on ‘Fireless cooking’ as part of Nutrition Week campaign at food science laboratory.

Out of the 12 teams participated, Ananya and Tanmay JSS University won consolation prize. Srijana M and Syeda Shifain, UoM were the runners and Abhisheka Mary and Sandhya, JSS University were the winners.

High nutritive foods such as sprouts, vegetables, dry fruits, millets, flaked rice, jiggery and coconut were incorporated in the recipes. Students took part in the competition with enthusiasm.
