Official quandary: IAS officer D Randeep ‘jobless’ for the time being

Mysuru, March 14:- The negligence on the part of the state government has affected the career of an honest Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer like D Randeep.

In a clash between the Deputy Commissioner of Hassan, Rohini Sindhuri and the state government, Randeep is jobless. He was transferred to Hassan and Rohini Sindhuri was transferred to Bengaluru. Subsequently, Rohini got a stay to the transfer order from Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) and will continue as the DC of Hassan till at least March 21. If that is the case; Randeep won’t be able to move to Hassan.

New DC of Mysuru K B Shivakumar has already arrived in the city and has assumed charge. This has left his predecessor in a dilemma. Neither can he stay back in Mysuru nor can he go to Hassan.  Though he has written two letters to Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), he has not received any response so far.

He is spending time with his dogs at the official residence. Though he has to vacate the official residence for the new DC, he may be forced to extend his stay till March 21. -(MR/KS).
