Mysuru, August 21:- “It is unfortunate that Mysuru has to inaugurate Gaja Payana (march of elephants) for Dasara 2019 without a district in-charge minister,” said MLA Sa Ra Mahesh.
He was speaking at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club here on Wednesday.
“45 days after B S Yediyurappa took oath as chief minister, the cabinet has been formed. The old Mysuru region has been completely sidelined in the cabinet. They have kept the post vacant to satisfy a dissatisfied soul which supported to make the coalition government fall. Senior MLAs have also been sidelined in the cabinet. Where did the ethics of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) go?” Mahesh asked.
“The government has given the telephone tapping case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). In the same way, the dealings to uproot the coalition government should also be given to CBI. Tomorrow a minister from Bengaluru will come and inaugurate Gaja Payana. There is no minister here to listen to the grievances of the flood-affected people. At least, KG Bopaiah or Appachu Ranjan could have been made ministers. It is unfortunate that they had to keep the post reserved for the dissatisfied soul,” he taunted disqualified MLA AH Vishwanath.
“I am still committed to my challenge to Vishwanath. Let him come to Kappadi Temple to swear on the God that he is clean. If he proves he didn’t fall for any bribe, then I will retire from politics,” Mahesh added.
“Transfers during the coalition government were made after the term is over. Let BJP explain why it resorted to 650 transfers in 25 days. GT Devegowda has health issues. That is why he is not responding to the media. He should be in active politics for 20 years more,” he said.
Mahesh also clarified that he didn’t make personal allegations against anyone except Vishwanath.
