One day state level symposium held at ATME

 Mysuru, October 13:- ATME College of Engineering conducted One day State Level Symposium on “Recent Development in Science, Engineering & Tecnology””   in the College.

Chief Guest Padmashree Dr S K Shivkumar Chairman, KSTA and former Director ISRO, addressed the gathering and shared his abundant knowledge on this occasion.

He emphasized that, there is no success without dedication and hard work. One should have Aim or goal without which there is no success. Every day new inventions are being made in the field of science & Technology. He also emphasized that the materials needed for space craft or space shuttle have to be manufactured in India with the support of Private Industries. This is to minimize the dependence on European countries with regard space programs.

Guest of honor, Dr KSMS Raghava Rao, Chief Scientist CFTRI, Mysore, addressed the gathering mentioned that For the present generation has  a lot of opportunities for employment, but the youth  are still in dilemma in choosing their field of interest. It is the responsibility of the parents as well as the Teachers to guide the youth in selecting their field of interest. This type of symposium will enable the students. It will help the parents to know about the opportunities available in current trends of science and technology and share the knowledge gained.

Later he delivered a key note address on Food processing Technology. Food processing is a pure scienc, and its storing and transportation requires technology which is applied science. When these disciplines are brought under same platform the resulting technology makes the life simple.

L Arunkumar, Chairman ATMECE presided over the function, expressed his views about Symposium. Technology is an essential part of our lives nowadays and few can imagine living without Technology.  It has made the world very simple and the novel practices at our finger tip. It is inevitable to adapt to the changes in technology.

Special Invitee Dr Syed Shakeeb Ur Rehman Former Principal SJCE, ATME Hon,ble Secretary Shivashankar K also graced the occasion. This Symposium was organized to conduct various competitions like, Essay writing, Quiz, Poster presentation and Model exhibition which are related to fields of Science, Engineering and Technology which gives ample of opportunities for the youth to exhibit their talent. More than 650 participants various colleges of the state participated in the symposium.
