The Mysore Centre of the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) – ACCE (I), National Institute of Engineering (NIE) and Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) are jointly organizing a one–day national workshop on ‘Recent Advances in Geotechnics for Infrastructure – RAGI 17’, under TEQIP II initiative on March 25 at Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Hall, NIE college.
Prof T N Nagabhushan, Principal, SJCE will inaugurate the workshop, Dr Chandan Ghosh, Professor, NIDM, New Delhi will release the technical proceedings. Prof Mysuru R Yadupathi Putty, Principal, NIE will preside.
In the technical sessions that follow, Dr Chandan Ghosh, Dr R Shivashankar, Professor of Civil Engineering, NITK, Surathkal, Dr L. Govindaraju, Professor of Civil Engineering, UVCE, Bengaluru and Dr Anbazhagan, Asst. Professor of Civil Engineering, IISc, Bengaluru will be addressing the topics – Dynamic Loading on foundations – Theory to Practice, Geotechnical Engineering in Practice, Challenges in Underground Metro Construction, Seismic Site characterization for urban areas.
