Mysuru, July 19:- The new ‘Online registration’ initiative of the University of Mysore (UoM) for admission to the hostels of Post-Graduate students pursuing their degrees in the university will begin from Friday.
Addressing a press meet at the Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC) auditorium in the city on Thursday, Director of Students’ Welfare Dr Praveen K B said, “The varsity has made ‘online registration’ compulsory for admission of PG students to the UoM hostels. As per the schedule announced in the circular from our office, the filling of online hostel application form begins from tomorrow for Second year PG degree students who need to apply before July 26 and get a print out of the copy with supporting documents attested by the head of their respective departments and submit it to the hostel concerned.”
“The students (men) applying for hostel admission need to submit application at PG Men’s Hostel Block-1 at Manasagangothri while women students need to submit application at PG Women’s Hostel Block-1. The students seeking hostel admission at UoM PG centres in Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Mandya need to submit their downloaded application at the respective PG hostels. While the first year PG students are eligible to apply from July 27 and the last date for online admission is August 2,” he added.
