Open pit on KHB Colony Road in T Narasipur poses threat to commuters

Mysuru, July 11:- The residents have urged the Town Municipal Council (TMC) to close the pit which was dug up for laying a pipeline on KHB Colony Road in front of T Narasipur Police Station.

The drinking water pipeline has been damaged. The road was dug up for repair of the pipeline, but the TMC workers haven’t filled up the pit on the road, thus causing inconvenience to the commuters. The road connects Vidyanagar, Muddabeeranahundi and Dharmaiahana Hundi villages. The students of St Thomas and Adichunchanagiri Schools have to commute through this road. The residents have expressed concern over children getting injured while commuting on this stretch of road..

The people have threatened to launch an agitation if the TMC officials fail to take action immediately. (KS, NGB)
