Mysuru, December 30:- Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruta Vedike and other organisations paid tributes to Vishwesha Theertha seer of Pejawar Mutt who passed away on Sunday.
They paid tributes to the seer at Mytri Buddha Vihara in the city.
“The demise of the seer is an unbearable loss for the cultural, religious and traditional fields of India. He was among the most kind-hearted saints of India. He worked for the welfare of backward communities and Dalits,” said thinker Prof Mahesh Chandra Guru. He said that the seer was not just limited to Hindus and visited the areas of Dalits to eradicate untouchability.
Prof KS Bhagawan recalled the social activities of the seer.
State president of the organisation KS Shivaram, former mayor Purushottam, Srikanta, S Shivappa, Zakir Hussain, Lokesh Kumar and others were present. (MR/KS)
